A farmer has unearthed two sets of stone musical instruments while gardening at home in Di Linh district in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong.

One of the instruments has three slabs and the other nine slabs. Both have marks on their surfaces, suggesting there was decorative work sculpted onto them. A ceremony was held recently by the Cultural and Information Service of Lam Dong Province to announce the findings.
Famous musical expert Do Loc, who has spent years studying the sounds of stone musical instruments and played them around the world, has played the stone slabs to introduce the Di Linh musical instrument at the ceremony.
Before the Di Linh stone musical instrument, Lam Dong province has wreathed other kind of stone-age musical instruments called the B’Lao about 27 years ago.
