All year round, Vietnam is a wonderful tourist destination and it is very interesting to observe the distinctive architecture and traditions of the various ethnic groups that comprise Indochina. Vietnamese cities and villages are tuly architectural jewels of traditional and colonial design.
You can begin your itinerary in Hanoi which cuisine, art and architecture is strongly influenced by its French roots. From there take an excursion to Halong Bay, which is about 100 miles away. It’s amazing area of 3000 islands. This is a wild, beautiful and remote region. Midway between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh is the city of Hue. The former capital of the emperors of Vietnam, known for its beautiful imperial architecture. Explore the “Forbidden Purple City”, the city within a city with its tombs, pagodas and lakes covered by lotus flowers. Near Hue is Da Nang, city of China Beach, the Marble Mountains and the Cham Museum, which houses magnificent examples of the art of the Indianised Cham civilization.
Just to be on a safe side and have a pleasant and safe trip contact one of the tour operators as I did when I traveled to Vietnam. My trip was booked through New York based Orient Flexi Pax Tours : http//www.orientflexipax.com. They show you the all the wonders and opulence of that exotic country. Travel in style.
